The New Jersey shore is beautiful which is why so many people flock to the East Coast year in and year out. We’ve been traveling from Stafford Township to Long Beach Island for many years and have stumbled upon some great things to do while on the Island. These are our favorites:
We’ll start our tour at the south end of the Island at Beach Haven. Here you’ll find great daytime activities for you and your family. Check out the Museum of NJ Maritime History or go on an excursion with Black Pearl Pirate. Then, you can spend plenty of time entertaining yourself at Fantasy Island Amusement Park or playing on the beach. If salt water isn’t your thing, you’d love Thundering Surf Waterpark.
Ship Bottom Beach
Traveling north from Beach Haven brings you to Ship Bottom Beach where you can experience great LBI waves for surfing. You can take surf lessons and paddle board lessons and then head out to the water for a good time in the sun.
Barnegat Lighthouse State Park
On your way out to see the lighthouse on the northern most point of the Island, stop by Viking Village for some great shopping and boat watching. Then, head into the State Park for a spectacular view. Sure, watching the boats go by at Viking Village is fun, but wait until you are right on the edge of the Island. Sit on the shore and feel the waves ripple against your feet as you soak in all of the beauty the coast has to offer. Then get ready to climb up the 217 steps to the top of the Barnegat Lighthouse for the best view on the Island.
All in all, the best way to see everything the island has to offer is to ride with Preferred Limo & Car Service. We’ll take you safely to anywhere you’d like to go so you can watch out the windows and enjoy LBI!
